Learning To Laugh At Our Own Assumptions
Sometimes we are too quick to make assumptions, Leading to I don't get this moments, When the answer is so simple, You can only ovoid ridicule, If you are the first to laugh, At such an obvious fluff. Take a simple floor puzzle, You are working on with your grandson, A straightforward mission, To putt together a Thomas The Tank Engine puzzle, No way you could fail the mission, Totally wrong assumption. Half an hour later, About to admit defeat, And treat my family to raucous laughter, I found the answer at my feet, And I was the first to burst into laughter. In my defence, A puzzle with two sides to check, Would make even you look dense, And at least it finally did click, Which made all the difference, To the colour of my cheek.
