Touch
There she is with all her wishes and her dreaming But silently she sits back plotting and scheming She keeps trying to come up with ways to change the man you are Are you really going to let her go quite that far? She don’t understand just how to love you deeply Love so intense that one can’t help but love you completely Between the two of you, is it all good or has it gone very bad Do you find yourself remembering every bit of what you and I had? She was so sweet in the beginning, now has she since gone sour Leaving you wondering what you let go of again, hour after lonely hour Well I sit here alone thinking of you and me The way things were and still seem to be I hang on tightly to all of our memories We just fit together perfectly We laughed and we cried We held one another close and we had those deep gazes in each other’s eyes We loved the other so intensely and we let the other go Never believing we would be where we are today how were we supposed to know? That these feelings, emotions, and desires would still be sparked this way It’s a fire that can’t be extinguished and it’s never gone away We never judged on what the other looked like, the love we had was from the inside out Which is how I know she don’t yet understand what true love is all about Yet I’m the one here alone missing every bit of you ever so much And she’s the one who takes away your life and such I get to remember and recall your strong, yet ever so sensitive touch… …does she No, I don’t think so not really
