I look deep into their eyes. But inside I clearly see, Little synonymity. I gaze up into the stars, Behold the dreams from afar, Miles away and fading, Feeling only my heart aching. Alone I am until I die, Yet still, I look up at the sky, And hope a star will fall here. Dreamers only bleed their tears. But the stars are far away. I now drift into the fray, Of people strong swift and sharp, Of them now the minstrels harp: It seems so natural for them, Their friendships bloom grow and stem. They find love so easily. Why is it I cannot see, Their love, my life? Perfect sin. Why can’t I just fit in? They look at me with cold eyes, Words withheld. Judgment implied. Quickly hide in my facade, Hoping they won’t know I’m odd. Undetected I spectate, But never participate, In their lives so fair and true, This fact, God, it makes me blue. Feeling like I’m in the world, But yet apart. Rage impearled, Buried deep within myself, Introspection. Foreign hell. But alas no one will see, This deeper dark part of me. Like an alien am I. Drifting deeper into the lies, Sowed by man. I cry in space, For my fate. Unholy grace.
