Christmas Dreams and Mythology Returned
On Old New Christmas Eve Once we my sister and I over excited children finally made our way to bed Mother slowly begins to wrap our toys and presents Besides the flashing lights and angel a- top our Christmas tree While dad eats and drinks the milk we left out for Santa For when he comes down the chimney to drop off all our presents The pair of us hope to find underneath the Christmas tree waiting for us to rip wide open Tomorrow on Christmas morning whence we expectantly awaken And hopefully mum and dad get just or as much joy out of as we do Seeing the joy and happiness splashed beaming all across our tiny little faces One last time before reality kick's in and they eventually figure out Mum and dad are actually in fact Santa and yet another childhood is blown away forever Until such time one day in the distant future arrives When they themselves have children of their own And their own faith in childhood myths is delivered back unto them as well finally once again And everything and all that resides in the world makes sense Once viewed and seen through something as innocent as a child's perspective Thinking and believing anything is possible Nothing is beyond the realms of plausibility
