Damaged In Love
This broken mind designed by pain The pieces together can never remain My ring is sometimes all I see Keeping me close to the place I need A promise handed down through dreams Awakens at night, at least it seems But once again the world has spun The dangerous webs with its deadly sun What promise rises in this light? The people of hate with their false insights Such dreams I never want to be The silence of hearts burning all that’s me Somewhere designing darker truths My weaker self slept throughout his youth With depths I never dared to seek The darkness since rose, now it mustn’t speak Such damaged feelings I ignore The depth of my reason still asks for more One last excuse to break this ring And end my last reason to breathe life in This struggle never letting go Smiling with her while buried in snow Such empty things I seem to bleed Away from my heart, for the one I need
