Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required I haven’t always been The woman I am today There were moments in the past When pain flooded my faith And grief destroyed my grace I haven’t always done the things That I know I should do Or been the bright, shining star Crying, “God’s will be done” With thanks for my blessings Instead, I’ve often been insecure Fearful and worried and sad Filled with apprehension overflowing My feelings that praise His name I haven’t always lived the way I know that I should live Not every prayer that should be prayed Has fallen from my lips There have been times when I couldn’t decide If what I was doing was wrong or right And I know I took the wrong road at times When my heart wouldn’t let me decide Or allow His presence to be my guide I wasn’t always filled with assurance That what I chose was moral Worthy of God’s blessings on it But what I chose was honestly A choice I believed was the right one There were days when I couldn’t pray Simply because I was hurting Or filled with a sorrow that wouldn’t go away Even though I yearned for the heartbreak To be comforted, calmed and eased I know my dreams haven’t always come true There were things I simply couldn’t do But I know that God was always behind me Providing a light to inspire and guide me And I am thankful beyond my prayers and praise That God was always there And I’ll always give Him thanks Because He gave me life and love and light Encouraged my faith in His strength I’ll always be thankful And am still so amazed That God gives so generously Despite my lack of praise Today I need to say He has been my abiding grace And I need to give Him All the glory, honor and praise!
