I lay sun bathing in a sheltered bay, this is where I should feel at home, where no one should take my peace away, where I found that such things could be, for now I am not at home or at peace. So sweetly silent moments pass despite silver-threaded drops of sea spray. I dream of lips that lightly brush on mine, like wafts of exotic jasmine perfume that tickles my smells as breezes pass by. Such moments never will return. So I must walk alone. The mask I wear I cannot hide the tortured depression of your absence. Night falls where in the past we found real joyous beauty, the soft heartbeat of a pair in love. No longer now the stars can sing as they move along their elliptical way. My soul suffers a sardonic death, even if I fight and struggle against a fragment of the pain. I can only dream of invisible glimmers of joy. I still walk alone.
