The maple violin was given to him as a gift from an early age, he kept it shiny and played it after school on the balcony; whenever he stepped outside the crowd cheered loudly, they asked him to play Vivaldi with equal resonance! We imagine this boy with a virtuous appearance looking out to the waveless lagoon with gliding gondolas... carrying young lovers seeking the pleasures of romance; how he reveled when they applauded throwing magnolias! He had heard of Naples and how well they played the mandolins, perhaps he wanted to learn those Neapolitan simple melodies, but Venice wasn't Naples and it had murky skies as its waters; in the eighteen hundreds, composers' wish was to be in Naples and traveled to this wonderful city and were astonished by its beauty, Mandel visited it and described it as a city of merry music and irony! An individual of an incredible talent didn't live long to live and achieve the aspiration of his dream with the little time he had left, today that violin lies next to a music sheet of an unfinished and faded composition he tried to complete with noticeable haste; ah, how merciless was his unpredictable fate! Could he have been the next Mozart?
