Arrogant Macho Poets
I don’t do all I am told, questions I always ask. If I do, my friends take me to task. Not me, I, in independence, do bask! I do mean those in your face with a bang! These are the "must-do" gang. Out to shame and scare women with constant harangues! They are outer-directed, I am not! They cannot stand inner-directed thoughts. So they bring their arrogant friends over to comment ,like bullies and macho-snots! Especially to women poets here. Wow, they push them around. To be sure not to respect my words. but make me out to be a clown? There's nothing I can do about that. She bought their bullying, Stop reading me, and that's that. I learned decades ago about macho men like these. Empty headed zealots, forcing women unsuspecting poets onto their knees. From Mount Olympus they have come! They are big names here, fooled you all to think they are God’s only sons. I shirk when their faces are on the screen. For me, they are monsters from Halloween. Their treat is humiliating women. In the Ocean, far off, I wish they were swimmin’! Proud nobodies they are! Looking for susceptible women poets to own. Which they do, kept locked in their poetic hearts, which is made of nails not gold. They have snookered the men, here too! Who shine their shoes and need them, like an alcoholic needs booze!! 7/25/2021 -4-
