It's a beautiful southern summer's night and though clouds threaten rain, there’s few in sight. A scarlet sun bleeds to death in the west and I await the darkness like the rest. Kids are rushing to get in the last swim before the sun sets and it gets too dim. I'm anxious for the night's festivities there will be all kinds of activities. To me the best part of summer’s the heat, I call it my bittersweet Texas treat. I soon start seeing folks jump up and down and I hear fits of laughter all around. It seems like everyone’s going crazy and then everything starts to get hazy. I look to the skies and it's snowing out something a child might fantasize about.
