Love Not the World
We celebrate actors and actresses, 'Cause we all value fakeness. We put emotional investments Into mind games of pretend. We rather live in a fantasy Than face reality as it is. So, tell me why we earn money Through simply being part of subtle slavery? All while the world worships People pretending to be greater than you or me, Here we are left wondering, "Why is the world not how it could be?" We celebrate leaders and even losers, 'Cause we only cheer for the views we share. We put all of our faith Into those with minds like a wraith. We rather observe until there comes a big scare, Instead of being aware of what lingers in the air. Tell me then, why the rest of us Are treated as even less than peasants? Sadly, others have had greater presence. All while the world goes on, Some only live in misery and suffering. Why oh why can't we instead celebrate one another?
