Her Profile
I woke dreaming of her. Its been a while. Flashes of memories.. The elegance of her profile, the strength contained in her posture. The angle turn of her chin as she laughed and the echoing warmth in my chest hearing it. Facial expression from various moments playing out a reel of her life and personality. This woman I was just getting to know. Her power dripped and rippled from her in multi facets following the complexity of her life. She was breath taking. Toned from a life of honest hard work, of her passion of movement and vibrancy in life. Elegant and feminine mannerisms learned at the skirts of Southern belles. Ferocious in her stance of justice and equality. Humble in her quiet studies, following the words of her Lord. She glowed with the Holy Spirit, practicing a magic much simpler than fantasy. Faith. God her strength came from faith. The enduring optimism and persistence in the face of a world set out to disregard her. She was the Lords arch angel, sent to rescue the forgotten little girls, disregarded like her self, left to flounder in ball rooms of shame for their skirts. She loved. A love of agappa, a love of mercy and forgiveness that lasted eternity, a love that with with stood persecution, tempered in the wisdom of humbleness. She was beauty. Every thing I hope to be.
