Being Calm
For at least 60 seconds, my heart was racing, palpitating. I was unaware of it, did not feel the racing, the stressing. Furthermore, my doctor indicated that it had happened more than three months prior, and I had no clue what he was talking about. But just as my doctor indicated, I was not SERENE, In a place and atmosphere where I should have been CALM and STILL*, my heart was racing as I was pacing rapidly through and across the building. At my church, for the Christmas program, I was scheduled to do a reading from the Bible, and my Bible was missing. Fortunately, it was located in time, and all ended well. My cardiologist was miles away; yet he knew what my heart was doing. He knew because my heart issue requires a pacemaker that was inserted by him 6 years ago. When he checked the monitor, my lack of QUIET was revealed, and he quoted to me the exact day that there were at least 60 plus seconds that my heart was not very PEACEFUL. I was determined to know what happened on the day of December 20, 2020. So when I arrived home, I checked my calendar and immediately understood what took place that robbed me of my normally TRANQUIL state. 051121PSCtest, Writing Prompt-Calm, Constance La France. 3P *"Be still, and know that I am God!...."
