Sunrise
Groggy in the morning but she’s my sunrise My eyes open to your sun, your shine Angel under the sun she’s all mine I hope you feel how I feel about you, because I love you more Wish I could experience the first sunrise over and over My love, picture perfect even when you don’t feel perfect Looking more beautiful than the sunrise reflected over the water next to the sand I keep a photo album in my mind of all my favorite memories of you Every time I fade back to this recollection, the album plays soft melodies in the background as the photos open slowly like the sunrise Wake up memories I wish to hold you once more, feel you again, be present in this post again, it’s like I’m opening the present all over again Celebrating so much not even the tears could not rain on this parade As I parade from kiss, to hug, holding hands, enjoying the warmth of your company with no agenda Sunset in your eyes but please don’t close your eyes I’m not ready for the starry night Let’s just live in this sunrise a few more fortnights p.s. my eyes open slowly like the sun coming up to be in your sky…
