I'm a sacred charm woven over willow hoops and hung above your bed, freeing your body and mind from all sorts of evil influence. Go on, dream away, sleepy head. Close your eyes, child. Dream peacefully. You're in good hands. I protect you from nightmares. I originated from Native American cultures; used as a symbol of unity. The Ojibwe tribe call me 'Asabikeshiinh', meaning 'spider'. Acting like a spider's web, I trap your bad dreams allowing pleasant ones to sieve through my feathers and reach you. My circular frame represents planet Earth and the circle of life as there is no alpha or omega. The beads represent the spider.
