Little Flower
I see you. little flower. beautiful in your fullest bloom How the sun, it cowers behind the clouds in a shadowed gloom I see your energy vibrant in it's flow oh how small you are, and how the world so big. in your perfection, you pass no judgement you do not seek or strive to be, but you just simply are. I do not pity you, little flower. even so as the insects feast upon your bright pedals, not long after your own short life begins. But nothing sad at all about this cycle, the night that comes allows you to grow and rest. you could never bloom, if that sun never set. So time goes on, and the nightfall passes. The new dawn comes, brings back the light. You will have your nourishment, for new life to begin. For god gave you this purpose. In the natural order. No sadness wells my eyes with tears. Even so when I know your fate. When you no longer see the warm bright sun , and I no longer see your vibrant pedals. in their morning blooming glory. in your twilight hours as you slowly wither, in frigid winter winds. Nothing in this life lasts forever. but the new spring will come, and give birth to your kin each day I wake, I'd hope to see that cycle.
