You might assume the only way to gain power is to compete with surpassing strength for economic and political victory. I might guess another way to empower is to cooperate for healthier sustainable flow-with empowering enlightenment more resonant in compassionate relationships than suspiciously lacking robust interdependent communication networks. As for patriarchalism, probably far more erectile dysfunction is the result of intentional economic neglect than vindictive political abuse and threats of war-mongering.
