These houses they are the same The church bells sounds remain The hills and the stream All know me and why I had to leave I find a way to the door Of so many decades afore Where killers they stained the street With love that was for me Found guilty in a lawless trial I now stand in front of the tree without a smile. Where tied rope and me Hung for all people to see Time consumes the soul of me Innocence lost in a world of cruelty Sorrow burned from the heart of me Pain in life you would not believe Followed with this soul who can’t get free.
