In these days when times are tough And billionaires can’t get enough Our enemies are overjoyed Our CEO’s should be unemployed. They have sacrificed the country for their greed They’ve left integrity on the ground to bleed A lifestyle of royalty, unmitigated gall Then ask for the taxpayer to pay for it all. Our Congressmen are bought and sold with ease Corporate bastards can do what they please If they bail them out, we should break our silence And show our leaders some working man violence If you can’t run your company without a government windfall Then you should be removed from your position once and for all The only discussion about government bail Would be how much it cost to keep you out of jail You are the cause if the company has been derailed You were given authority and miserably failed In these days of utter salary disparity We need to end the corporate charity If the government bails out another corporation They need to hear thunder throughout the nation If another CEO gets another free pass This is war against the middle class If there are answers the government cannot supply Then the rules of engagement do not apply We cannot standby and wallow in self-defeat We need to take our battle into the street We are the people. We rule this land There are congressmen who fail to understand In these days when our economy is sub par We need to let them know they’ve gone too far.
