Why Has the Christmas Joy Only Lasted For One Day
The decorations on the Christmas Tree were spectacular, all seemed a wonderland created not only for children who love presents; although the snow did not fall, it still looked magical... who could have wished for a more perfect scene? Why has the Christmas joy lasted only for one day? The dazzling lights and the laughter of Santa lifted spirits up, they all smiled and believed in him; the long wait has ended for the kids anxious to open their gifts and stay up 'till the early hours of the arising morning and slowly falling asleep! Carolers stopped by my door and sang, in those serene glances, I saw warm and familiar faces who had gone to Heaven and reached out to me; no tear fell, gladness filled that emptiness... I could have cried, but joy replaced sadness instantly! Why has the Christmas joy only lasted for one day? Shouldn't it be lasting all year round and keep everybody happy? See the expressions in the eyes of the young ones, it's disappointment and greed: more presents would be awesome! Would they be bored to play and continue to show those long faces?
