Caught In a Trap
There was once a kind hearted young man, who just didn’t believe in God. To him it didn’t make sense, but his mother continued to prod. Why would a benevolent being, choose to come here as a man? Why would he want our pain and then lose everything he had? If there was an almighty creator and he really loved all of us? Why would he let us stumble around, and never put up a fuss? How could a God never help, with traps set at every corner? Wouldn’t he want to save us and possibly end this evil disorder? No matter how hard she tried, her son just never believed. He had a very kind heart, but a God he just couldn’t perceive He would smile and say he was sorry and he just couldn’t buy into it. Whenever she would talk about Jesus, he would just sit and remain very quiet. One day the young man got married, and started a family of his own. He wanted to show them love, just like his mother had shown. One day his family went camping, then went for a hike in the woods. His kids were growing up right, just as he had hoped they would. As they came to the end of the trail, they heard an animal starting to yap. It was a small baby fox, it was injured and caught in a trap. This young man with a heart of gold, he wanted to try and help. But with everything he tried, the fox would just bite and yelp. If that fox would only trust me, he said, I could remove that trap from his leg. The poor baby fox was just scared and couldn’t understand even when he would beg. He tried for many hours, but he never gave up on this fox. He even injured himself, as he stumbled around on the rocks. He thought to himself in a panic, if I could just become a fox as well. I could make him understand and listen, to the truth I was trying to tell. Within that moment of clarity, he fell to his knees and began to cry. He finally understood God’s message, the how and even the why. Everything that his mother had told him, had now become crystal clear. He now understood why God, came to this earth and died for us here. 12-21-20
