My Soul In 2020
This is the year of incomparable fragility, this is the year of agonizing separation -grief and worry,  A year of longing, optimism, empathy and kindness - A year of our testament. cruelly separated from loved ones, unwillingly isolated in morbid corners,  we were through a long torturous struggle .. we were through a battle, almost destined for defeat.  An ordeal ...unimaginable before, incomprehensible sufferings, human beings survived many disasters,  human souls have a unique way of touching others,  and they did.  with awe I glimpse at the sublime sky, behold our saviour on a golden chariot in the east,  I watch the glittering stars in the vast darkness -  my soul cries for those who are suffering.  my heart grieved for those who trudged miles and miles to return to their villages, I sobbed for those who could not bid final farewell to their dearest. My soul is full - with admiration, with reverence, with respect... for immense dedication and sacrifice of our fellow human beings,  who proved how selfless we could be - to save vulnerable, and sick.  I bow to the universe who teaches us never to give up. heavy with sadness, my heart burst with love and pain for those who left this world like sprawled autumn leaves, This is a year of disappointment and sorrow,  This is a year of Hope and Rejuvenation.  December 13, 2020 Inspired by "Your Soul In 2020" Poetry Contest Sponsor: Chantelle Anne Cook
