I thank my people profusely for the opportunity to keep working, But retire effective immediately for wasting time is a sin now. I pick up my ten grandchildren and we take a Disney cruise Without their parents and their rules, and their rolling eyes And their absolute, type A, “I want my own way” ways. We get up early, and stay up late, swimming in the pools. We gorge ourselves with the sweetest foods, and maybe have steak. We read books, take naps, play our computer games, and travel to Greece. Greece is glad to see us. We go from there to Rome. Some grandchildren are Catholics, so we wait for them to see the Pope. We do not come home from the trip until we have toured castles in Germany. Taste some homemade chocolates from Belgium and see Russia’s palaces. This is a year-long trip; no parents are invited. They can weep with their pets. Grandma is in charge, and we are having the time of our lives!
