Over Confindent
Today I remembered that I have a glass chin, Its kind of funny Your memory has no specific time to bring things to your attention. For those of you who don’t know, A glass chin or glass jaw is a boxing term for people who are knocked out easily when struck on the chin or jaw. Back when I was in the Army, and had been sent to Turkey on a hardship tour. On our off duty time there’s not much to do. So, along with reading books I had been taking a Kung fu class in an outdoor gym. We were having practice matches in class. Going a few rounds with each other, I was number three in our class, fighting with number two. And I was a little over confident, I just knew I was better than my opponent. We were moving around, blocking each other’s blows. I thought I was making him look bad. Until he planted one right on my chin, it put my lights out. And I collapsed like a house of cards. When I came too, I was on the ground looking up, My teacher and my class mates were trying to get me back up on my feet. I learned that I have a glass chin, and to not be Over confident.
