Even In Death 2
On this stormy night, with the lighting clashing and the thunder rolling, I'm running in the rain to reach you, to see you again. Even if you are gone, I will hold you again. Nothing will stop me from getting to you, not even the heaviest of storms. This shovel may be heavy in my hands, the wind may be blowing hard against my face. I may not be able to breathe, but you are there beyond that gate, and I'm coming to hold you. Yes, I was broken when you were taken from me. Yes, I've shed tears, but you can't leave me. Your heart is forever mine, and I'll be damned if I can't have you again. Seeing your headstone, your grave. Soaking wet and covered in mud, I dig and I dig until I see your wooden coffin. Looking as peaceful as ever. So beautiful, I touch your cold dead face. I pick you up and cradle you in my arm. Wishing you would wake up and tell me you love me again. Now the rain has stopped, and moonlight shines upon us. Giving us a natural spotlight. showing us that even in death, our love goes on. You know the famous line. "People die but real love is forever"
