Touch of November
The glare of summer is long gone, through window open on pale lawn, music of rustling leaves I hear. As autumn scene fades I see clear, sky sparkles with sapphire allure, silk clouds drift on silver contour. Thin thickets trap tinge of sunblast, hued web on them won’t ever last. Bronze leaves have long begun to fall, hearing the waiting winter’s call. Brown grass blades on auburn meadow sip scarlet sunrays, and they glow. After the pristine pearls of dew dry up at end of the day new, in my heart twilight gleam will flow. Touch of November’s last warm glow I will soak to the full, and hold for gloomy times of winter cold.
