My Unstolen Day
"Time is the thief you cannot banish" - Phyllis McGinley, Writer, 1905-1978 The sculptor hidden in sapling shapes the buds layer by layer, the petals show the design blooming in the fleeting time, as the floral essence of excuisite existence gradually unfurls the transient beauty of nature, until the flowers wither. The wilting flowes don’t even know when the stealthy time as a thief would sneak in the sly silence of the cold night from the abyss of the gloomy ground where they would fall to disappear and drift to obscurity in the infinite realm of time. On the life’s rough garden path of the fallen flowers I trudge with the prying moments, trace the last mile with sleepy eyes. When I wake up to see another sparkling dawn bloom, I thank God for the precious gift of a new day, unstolen. The spectrum of the rising sun tinges the sands of my time, turning into specks of eternity stacked in the serene soul, I float on the ethereal waves in the bay of fathomless bliss, drift to the shore waiting yonder that time cannot banish.
