Turning a Page
With each thrust His grunts get louder But her still form All the stiller Tolerating pain Bearing defilement The rapacious moments end He rolls over Exhausted and spent No words spoken No feelings, no emotion She too indifferently Adjusts her pillow So Maybe some respite For some nights Bottles her turmoil within No use Balancing 'virtue' and 'sin' At the forced physical connect All his guile All his tact, She’s able to see through His ‘apparent’ love act Her cell phone flashes A ‘Good Night Kiss’ message And the deathly night Instantly looks heavenly bright Beaming smiles replacing Agonising forbearance ‘It had to happen And it happens’ She ponders Nay, whispers Her man Guilty of starting Life’s new chapter And, as for she Well... For all his 'obvious' rage She’s just turned a page.
