Gaily, children with trimmed baskets Huddle along rows of colored flowers... Into the lea, small arms gather Jasmines and thistles to bring home Keeping some for merry-go-rounds; Long after cool noontime is done. More bounty twirls on violet edges, yet Not one dares to ruffle the charm Of a harvest, turning into rosette- mauve, Playing through hours when youngsters hop Quite briskly, for more peek-a-boos Resting awhile... humming, giggling away.
