Motion In Devotion
It was a blissful lovers paradise Moon was ablaze, stars were glistening bright Through ajar window, breeze softly blew in Gently caressing o'er their unclothed skin. Nothing could stop the pairs lovin' feeling Their shadows dancing across the ceiling All of a sudden all hell was let loose Raging wind lifting slates off from the roof. Thunder clapped, the sky turned ebony black The only light came when lightening flashed. Planets went spinning into outer space The frenzy making the whole household shake. Passion grew in extremes of ecstasy Sounds of the storm raising the fantasy Shaken and stirred in heights of emotion Pure displays of motion in devotion. Loving had never been this heavenly Nor left them both gasping so breathlessly Till the turbulent storm calmed down and passed In each other's arms they were tightly wrapped. When peace resumed he whispered in her ear "Did the earth move for you also, my dear" "No, for me 'twas only the bed that moved" "Them dam casters slip-slidin' round the room." 19th October 2020 COMPLETELY YOUR CHOICE(29) any theme any form Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Brian Stand *
