My Darling Jon
MY DARLING JON I look at you with joy, just like when you were a little boy. You made my birthday better, the best birthday ever. It started with a birthday kiss, four minutes after midnight. Hours later, you brought breakfast, followed by lunch, although I was out. I got back and ate lunch and My! Oh! My! a strawberry short cake. Oh, what a feast! . It did not end there. As I went out and partied in the night, you gave the birthday card the next day. To my total surprised!!! It included an acrostic poem. As I read it, I was overwhelmed with happiness for your knack for words, just like your Mom and here it is, as you wrote it……. Marvelous soul indeed Awe-inspiring to others Ravishing beauty with style Imaginative, inventive, insightful Loving to family and friends Entertaining dancer and singer Notable in gatherings Encouraging the world with creative empowering poetry I am so proud of you son. I may not always show you; but I am. I am so awestricken how you see me and I am so amazed by you and your poem. Thank you. Thank you, Jonathan, my darling Jon.
