In Support of a Ps Poet
Poets were asked to write for a mystery contest and I accepted the challenge to go on that quest to open any book and blindly point a single digit at 5 words or more that wouldn't make me fidget What was the chance that my very first word would be one that I considered rather absurd? The contest theme is novel, and different is fun This poem is half finished. My entry nearly done. Thanks for reading each whimsically rhymed line I chose more than 5 words, but one less than 9 So, when my finger pointed at the word, 'wait.' I knew it was a message to stop at number 8. Tomorrow, I will see if any comments were made If not, my aspiration of placing will begin to fade Win or lose, I'm glad to give support to a PS poet with an entry in a contest, hoping I didn't blow it. October 1, 2020 ~ Mystery Word Find Contest Sponsor: Caren Krustsinger Given the choice to choose 5 or more words, I blindly chose: fidget, chance, absurd, novel, reading, wait, tomorrow, and aspiration
