Prison of Perception
I move; perception moves; thoughts move; feelings move; this body moves. I am still; perception stills; thoughts still; feelings still; this body stills; These perceptions I thought were me vanish; these thoughts I thought were me vanish; these feelings I thought were me vanish; this body I thought was me will slowly vanish as the germs and worms unweave the confusion. I watch nothing. Then watching is gone; (no way to question if nothing is there, nothing is not there. Who can say something has been freed? Who can say nothing has been freed?) As I go about my day, these feelings come vivid and fierce, like fear; unable to see my Self, unable to feel myself, I can only see the fear, I can only feel the fear, and I think “that must be me; it’s all I can see; it is all I feel.” These feelings even come vivid and fierce, like love; unable to see myself, unable to feel myself, I can only see the love, I can only feel the love and I think “that must be me; it’s all I can see; it is all I feel.” Is there something watching? Is there someone watching? or is there only Watching as everything comes and goes...
