My Sailing Soul
Up above the wasteland of my lonely life in the seamless sky, clumps of cumulus rainless clouds weren’t consumed hovering, spawned a desert in my heart where I saw their arid shadows fly, and there you became a lake at the core of oasis of my yearning. In its tranquil depth you drowned all the dregs of my despair, torrents of fervid joy flowed from you for which I did ever pine. Ripples of lure danced on your smiling face in the beguiling air, shaking my sensuous shimmer in the cadence of silver moonshine. As my satin sky of dreams dissolved in your opulent azure serenity, sunburst colors painted panorama of passion on canvas of my dawn, hues of my dusk spread emotive layers on the visage of your beauty, where had flight of ecstasy taken me, I knew when you were gone. Desert wind couldn’t desiccate the luster of your lacustrine grace, to reach you I’d unfollow the illusion of mirage, make my own trail. In the diaphanous night the course to your moonlit shore I’d trace, on the enticing flow of your ambrosial essence my soul would sail. July 29, 2020 Contest : Muse Sponsor :Regina McIntosh
