And though I hardly know my north from south, I still can howl; tell someone where to go! Like man's best friend, I give a lot of trust. That bone is my reward - no little thing. It represents for me what's right and just, and dogs are dogs. To what they love they cling: like being treated fairly - in my mind - the bone I clutch. And one should realize as canine, that perhaps I'll be unkind when something seized from me is what I prize. But mostly I'm as harmless as a kitty purring with contentment, mild and pretty.
