~ the Rosary ~
"Blessed is the one, whom walketh not...." Psalm 1 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Staring at this rosary Its cross, its beads Pressing it within my hand Remembering.... When it was first given unto me Catholic I have never been But it is the blessing of faith In which I now see~ One of my best friends grew up Attnding services at Saint Lukes Many that I knew, really.... When I was but a child And then a young man Lost, within my own world Never knowing the meaning of the cross Not truly; nor did I know God? But a few times I went Sitting aside them, amid the crowded pews Once upon a Christmas Eve, I did I remember that time When I laughed out loud Everyone stared, before I rose and left The double hand carved doors Closing, this moment behind me.... A few years would pass by after this Before I ever returned again With a urn full of poisoned sins Which I had gathered along lifes way But it all seems distant unto me now As I gaze upon this rosary within my hand Knowing that mercy for some reason, undeserved Had one night visited, within a dream.... Removing these shackles forever The walls that held me solumn Upon the paths, where once I stood "This Cross!"....As I peer beyond its meaning Across the valley floors, which I have tread Seeing clearer, the truths of Heaven And that its love, is meant for all~ All, that shall come just as they are.... Closing forever, these hand carved doors!? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~ The Rosary ~
