The Nirvana Star
Tonight I reappear in my gleaming silver gown, my neutrons fusing to glitter your little town, a family reunion of stars dancing in Milky Way, you'll see the Helix Nebula of Aquarius in silver array. Celestial ballroom to brighten the dwarf planet you call, poor Pluto in desolate black hole of sudden downfall. The tiny planet no longer charms earthly creatures, transient in eternal universe-- oblivious preachers. The comet they've named Halley had told me long back, exploding stars in supernova fulfill wishes--their knack. Alas! We laugh but burn to make your planet glow, until this loop circles to your Sun in Big Bang blow, aloof from this sham I'll pour love as a sprinkling spinner; Oh! Just so you know in Kuiper Belt, Pluto is a winner. July 4, 2020 You are a star Poetry Contest Sponsor: Nina Parmenter
