I responded spontaneously- "I too will die instantly." My only thought was "How will he manage on his own after death? He will be soul, we humans. Even if he talks we would not hear him. He will get scared. I have to be by his side." I meant what I said! Later on I pondered, I was ready to die! Why? Is it because he was in my womb for 9 months? Was it love or attachment? We do have a special attachment to blood relations. That is why husbands care more for mother, brothers ,sisters than wife. Wife too can never hate her family. It has indeed been the root cause of many evils. Desires can be ended with a flip of mind! That much control we should have on our mind! Desires without attachment can never waiver mind, Desireless mind is a tranquil mind.
