Lies
Please, come and water us with lies, for we breathe too long, where a hint of a smile. Water us to the point, where we drown inside a life. Give me more, for there is no peace inside my mind. It is hard to be mute, in a world of loud laughter, for I can not join, or speak my pain after. I can not find reason, for the blades that they sharpen, nor can I see love, for the wounds they dishearten. Amazing, that I swim through an ocean, yet I’m lonely, as if the ones who could speak blurred in motion. Perhaps, as I stand on steady ground, any other soul stays high, but once I look up, they all hide behind a sky. For that star, I fear she can’t hear, and as I look around, there is nobody near. So perhaps, with my eyes closed, I should dive. Maybe I too will grow, if they water me with lies.
