Childhood Swinging By
CHILDHOOD SWINGING BY An empty swing sits there in my backyard, Reminding of those sweet old childhood days, When we used to take turns to swing so hard, When we touched the sky with our toes upraise, Reminding of those sweet old childhood days, See the footprints that lead up to the swing, When we touched the sky with our toes upraise, We flew with the birds on that wooden wing, See the footprints that lead up to the swing, Me and my friend and my childhood sweetheart, We flew with the birds on that wooden wing, With our wiggling legs we would get that start, Me and my friend and my childhood sweetheart, We grew up on that swing in my backyard, With our wiggling legs we would get that start, How we enjoyed our pure childhood unbarred! We grew up on that swing in my backyard, Flying with our dreams of togetherness, How we enjoyed our pure childhood unbarred! Remaining aloft although featherless, Flying with our dreams of togetherness, When we used to take turns to swing so hard, Remaining aloft although featherless, An empty swing sits there in my backyard. 06.18.2020 Photo #1 Feelings of nostalgia contest Sponsor: Eve Roper
