Midnight's Child
. Chi-town has been rated just shy of a war zone. and why would anybody want to bring friends and family into a war zone.. I avoid traveling through the city as much as possible, Don't mind paying the serial tolls and x-tra time it takes to go around. It's a shame because I like museums, concerts, sporting events and great food just as much as anybody else. I would like to visit more often and promote the city... but I refuse to promote crime-fear and decay. I remember back in the day my grandmother would take me shopping downtown to buy clothes and maybe a toy was in it for me.. Just her saying "downtown" brought an instant smile to my face. Now when I hear it, I don't smile.. I think of Death, drugs and midnight's children playing hopscotch on glass studded streets. With a rat a tat tat in the background.
