Awakened by the blackbird his joyous song went on and on As stumbling out of bed to my balcony I did head To see her moving bits for nesting sat amongst it she was resting and my heartstrings pulled again… On returning from my walk taking toast and coffee with me I sat upon my balcony for the morning sun was calling as a brand new day was dawning What was that I spied a trick of the light I cannot believe it it cannot be right For there it stood just by her side the shiniest brownest most precious EGG I jumped for joy I whooped I cried For this morning’s miracle I am waxing lyrical...
