What a Life
What a life! If I man enter your house, eat your food, and have your wife, just because I can. I say unjust. If I man wear your suit, drive your car, and sleep in your bed, just because I am stronger. I say unjust. If this is true for a man, is it not also true for a country? If a President enters my land, takes my gold, extracts my oil, and hides my resources in Switzerland, just because he has military might. I say unjust. If a Prime Minister invades my borders, kills my sons, plunders my daughters, and takes my diamonds, just because he can. I say unjust. The Europeans have left this continent, but my life has not improved. My brother-man is now in power, but he no longer speaks to me, and lives in the house on the hill. I say unjust. I say why are we killing each other for material things which rust and decay with time? We need love, we need peace, unless those possessions once garnered will not satisfy. Is not the Jah I read about, and the Jehovah you sing about, not the same? How can you say you love him, when you kill me, without a cause? I say unjust. Am I not made in his image too? When will this life be what he wants, and not merely our own desire for material? Ahhhh …What a life, what a life, what a life. I say we need better, we need love and we need peace.
