I Just Have To Smile
Spring takes me for a warm walk in the park, with emerald trees swaying in the breeze. And I hear the chirps of a meadowlark sung to captivate and attract a mate. A bushy-tailed squirrel scampers up a tree and then immediately starts scolding me, and I just have to smile. The grass feels funny under my bare feet wet with drops of dew as I wander through. And after winter's white, green is a treat, a feast for the eyes under clear blue skies. A plethora of flower buds are in bloom, each outfitted in a colorful costume, and I just have to smile. Inhaling a deep breath of perfumed air my heart skips a beat, for it tastes so sweet. Spring's innate beauty is beyond compare, wherever I go watercolors flow. And I feel jubilation and renewal for when winter weather's long and cruel springtime's high octane helps life refuel. I've gone about a mile, and I just have to smile. (Qarinage) 05/23/2020
