Lasting Bonds
There are certain people intrinsically linked to a season in our lives. In my experience, a certain bond was created many years prior that bares vibes of beauty well understood by those connected in such a manner. For instance, on yesterday an old friend shared a devotional that was very special to me. The contents of the devotional were interesting and the prayer was special, but beyond that was my reflection of a very challenging season in our past that we shared together so many years ago. It brought tears to my eyes. By God's grace, we were able to complete successfully a special mission assigned to us by the church we attended at the time. There are at least five other couples in our present church with whom we shared this short period of pain, out of which grew a lifetime of friendship, love, and wisdom. Until a few years ago, my wife and I were out of touch with her and her husband. So when I observed this individual speaking, I felt a certain pride as if I was an important part of that individual. I tell you, seeing her sharing on yesterday was a bit happily overwhelming. 042920cj PKK
