On Repeat
Piles of books in the corner An endless list of Films and shows To binge watch Too much time on our hands Slowly flows Into the next day And goes on repeat And here we go Into the next day And again And again Waking up Hoping for something new A sliver of something To look forward to the next sunrise How we reminisce The days of desiring more time To pursue our passions Missing the pleasures of temporary Thinking they would Last forever Seems like We’re losing our minds Again and again Tasting the blood in my mouth From my dripping lips Of nerves and Bitter pain Trying so hard To keep my eyes On the light Not to the shadows Of never ending noir Yes, the world sucks Messed up And it’s no one’s fault Just gotta do what we can Within us To find the strength to carry on
