The Woman With the Red Dress On
The woman with the red dress on is the sensuous Scarlett O'Hara, protagonist of "Gone with the Wind," a woman caught.between the old South and new South as she struggles to survive, aiming to save her plantation Tara to thrive. Her marriage to Rhett Butler was doomed from start, she loved a man named Ashley and not Rhett, he was forever angry with dealing with another man, their lives together were a constant upheaval, bitterness replaced love as the two did argue, hurtful words thrown at each other they did spew. Scarlett caught in the arms of Ashley by Rhett, he insists that she wear a red dress to a party, representing a symbol of a fallen woman, a dress whch was anything but modest, the look he wanted her to have was a trollop, a way to pay her back with a wallop.
