And yet, He called out to God as He died to forgive their souls, with His final breath. His body was cleansed and placed in a tomb, inline with Jewish practice at the time. Wrapped in linen-cloth, with oils and perfume, His mutilated corpse was made sublime. Soldiers sealed the tomb up with a large stone, placing guards to ensure that it stayed closed.
