Birds fly about as if there’s nothing wrong, some bearing twigs to build nests high and strong. They lift my spirits with each warbling song. The squirrels chase and chatter free of care before their audience. They’re unaware that they regale me with their unique flair. My walks are serum for my soul each day; though I’m just in my yard, they hold at bay surreal thoughts and free my mind to pray. In times like these, we crave normality to comfort us. In stark reality, though home-bound, nature’s beauties we can see.
