The Passing of Fear
The Passing of Fear A mark on the door… It is so quiet here, I believe that I can hear a snake, meandering across the dirt road, along the backside of the west fence. Usually he takes his time, but tonight, he seems to be… in a hurry. “Where are you going slithery one?” “Where do you think you will be welcome?” We all need a home. We all need a place to be. When the night is darker than thought possible, and the stars have not come out at all, bow your head and pray, there will be a dawn. The promise of today, is not the tomorrow… we dreamed of, as young and stupid, perhaps foolish children. Instead it is the one that we deserve, for doing all that we were told would hurt us in the end. Yet, even being warned, we continued forward… Ever believing in our own immortality, rather than the truth of our eternity. Free, words shared, until the take our right to be FREE away... Pray for better days my friends. God Bless and be safe.
